Juniper Barn offers beautiful indoor and outdoor ceremony spaces, warm wooden textures, and a relaxed countryside setting perfect for modern barn weddings. Its rustic charm and intimate atmosphere make it a wonderful location for meaningful celebrations and photography.

Ceremony Spaces at Juniper Barn
Juniper Barn has recently introduced a beautiful main indoor ceremony space, offering couples a warm and atmospheric alternative to outdoor ceremonies. With its rustic character, exposed wooden beams, floral arches, and candlelight, the barn creates an intimate setting filled with natural texture and soft light—perfect for both meaningful moments and stunning photographs. For couples dreaming of an outdoor ceremony, Juniper Barn also offers several options. Ceremonies can take place in a woodland setting, ideal for those wishing to exchange vows beneath an old tree, or in the barn courtyard, which provides a relaxed and charming open-air alternative. The Turf Shed comfortably seats approximately 110 guests on long wooden tables and elegant chairs, making it an ideal space for relaxed receptions with a communal, celebratory feel.
How to Get to Juniper Barn
Juniper Barn is located in Ballymote, County Sligo, with easy access from the N4, making it a convenient option for couples and guests travelling from Dublin and beyond. As the venue began operating fully in 2020, wedding galleries are still emerging. I’m looking forward to visiting Juniper Barn soon to photograph weddings there and share real examples from this beautiful venue. In the meantime, you can see updates and inspiration on their Instagram: @juniper_barn. Planning Your Wedding in a Juniper Barn Venue
Planning your wedding at a barn venue can be an exciting experience. It’s essential to select the right venue and determine the date and time that best suits your needs. You should also consider the decorations you want to use, create a seating plan for guests, and decide on other aspects of your big day. If you’re planning to have an outdoor wedding, there are several things to consider when choosing a suitable location for your ceremony. These include the weather conditions (rain or shine), accessibility by car or public transportation (if applicable), and the availability of parking near the site of your celebration (if applicable and whether it will cost extra money). If these things aren’t important to you, then you can consider having an indoor wedding instead. Your wedding photographer plays a vital role in documenting the day. Make sure they have experience working in barn venues, where lighting can vary, and that their style aligns with your vision. Discuss expectations in advance and ensure they’re prepared for all conditions, especially in rural locations.
